I E won't show pictures

On downloading pages from my college Website, I get the
red cross instead of the picture. I've tried right
clicking and clicking "show picture", I've also tried
going into Internet Options/Advanced but the "show
pictures" box is ticked. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks, Patti:-)
