Okay. So I made this video of stupid videos of my friends and I on Windows
Movie Maker. When I had first made the videos they were all called
MVCI9374.jpg, something like that. I finally finished my project and saved
it. Then probably two days after I saw all my videos and decided to rename
them instead of having just a bunch of letters and number. Soo I changed it.
I finally saw my friends and when I opened up the video I made it had X's all
over the place. Apparently it cant read the new name of the videos.

What do I dooo?!?!?!?

Ok....you renamed your source files...and then you
re-opened the .mswmm project file.

So now...you see Red Xs when you open Movie Maker
and try to open the project?

The problem is that Movie Maker does not include the
source files it only records the path to the files so when
you renamed the files...the path was disrupted and
Movie Maker cannot find the files.

Normally...if you right click the Red Xs and browse
to the location of the source files the path can be re-
established but since you renamed the files...you may
have to re-create the project from scratch.
