I can't send or recieve e-mails

I have e-mail through telus.net and I keep getting error messages for error #
0x800ccc0e. Would someone please explain how to fix this?
 
Insufficient info. Right-click on the error message, copy, then
paste the whole error message into a reply here.
 
same here The connection to the server has failed. Subject '', Account:
'pop.east.cox.net', Server: 'smtp.east.cox.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
 
There might be a different port number. Try port 26 for SMTP. Thats port I
had to use.
 
Two questions:
1) When you got that error, were you on a laptop away from home?
2) Which antivirus are you running?

P.S. Do not start changing port numbers to ones different than what
your ISP recommends.
 
Unplug phone connection for 30seconds and replug.If this doesnt work youll
have to contact your phone company to manuakky fix problem.
