I can't see any pictures in my WORD2003 Documents How do I fix?

When I cut and paste from an email I cannot see any of the pictures. The
boarders and corner and center movers are there, but no visible picture. How
do I fix this? I've gone through al the options and settings I can think of,
but am still unable to view ANY pictures. They will print though (but I
never know where or how many there are.

Thank you Suzanne, but I took every step in the instructions there to no
avail. I did glean that my Word 2003 is considering the pasted pictures
(usually pasted with the rest of the entire document) as an AUTOSHAPE and not
a picture which is graying out the picture options that allow it to be
viewable in ALL views. Does anyone know a way around that?

It is important to note that I have never had this problem before until
about three weeks ago. I have checked the new GeForce card and it all works
fine, but the pictures being viewable. That is the only change to the system
or software (and it happened BEFORE I installed it so I doubt it is the
problem.

If it is an AutoShape, it is in the drawing layer and will never be visible
in Normal view; there is nothing you can do about that except Cut it and use
Paste Special | As Picture to put it back in. From your description, though,
I would have expected the "Picture placeholders" option to be the culprit.

I tried ALL the paste special options and the picture still does not show up
at all in ANY view or in PRINT. I cut and pasted special as many different
kinds of pictures (bitmap, JPEG, and all others) as were avaliable on in the
paste special options and viewed each one in ALL views (print preview, page
layout, normal, web layout, reading, etc.) and there was nothing visible. AM
I crazy or is there some setting I'm missing? Pehaps a viewable toggle the
somehow was switched?

I'm going to start crying now.

After you pasted, did you change the wrapping to In Line With Text? Is it
possible that the pictures you posted are merely links to graphics stored
elsewhere? Press Alt+F9 to see if you see a Web address.
