Hi!
Some this happened with my computer. I can dowload updates from Microsoft
site, but I can't install them. None of them. It's gave me a message
Installation faild. Try again.

Windows installer service is running. I even restarted this service.

Start from manual download and install of the latest version of Internet Explorer(6 sp1):
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/ie6sp1/default.asp
or
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ieak/downloads/ieak6/ieak6sp1.asp

Then retry updates one by one.

Good Luck!

Windows Installer is not Windows Update. Try uninstalling
the windows update controls. If that doesn't work, run
chkdsk on your system drive.
