If I have View> Color Box enabled in Paint there is a strip of colors in
the lower part of the screen. In the color box: The first square is large
and shows the forefront and background color.
To the right of this is a series of boxes. Left clicking any color changes
the forefront color. Right clicking any color makes the change for the
background.
Double clicking any of the smaller color swatches (left mouse button for
forefront color, right for background), brings up the Paint color picker.
Select any color you like here and click OK.
