I can't burn dvds or cds

With my high end xp pro system i can't seem to burn dvds or
cds. The cds come out all scratchy and distorted and the
dvds won't play at all. I have no problems with my Windows
2000 system! Please help

It's got me baffled too? Do we have to guess? Telepathy?
Try giving us a few clues - software? Error messages?
With CD burning - analog or digital settings?
DVD burning - are they copy protected?
Are you burning to a format your domestic DVD player
cannot play? DVD-R/RW and/or DVD+R/RW??
Or a simple solution - stick with your Win2000 for burning.
Today for breakfast I had fried egg on toast with melted
cheese, coated in tomato ketchup and sprayed with pepper.
Two cups of decaf, and read the Times, Daily Mirror.

Do you have current drivers for your burners from the mfr's website?
