I cannot delete junk emails from the "Junk Email" folder

Recently when I try to delete a junk email from the "Junk EMail" folder, I
get a message that says I do not have permission to do that. I am not on
Microsoft Exchange.

how many items are in the folder? Does it work if you hold shift as you delete?
