i have tried all types of things but i cannot make dictation work. Please help

I have a XP tablet PC. I have microsoft office 2000.

Tablet PC Input Panel states that i can use dictation to enter text with any
XP compatible program.

How can i make it work? Please guide me. I know that dictation would be
very helpful for my upcoming meeting tomorrow.

Thanks

YOu'll need to ask this in some more appropriate newsgroup, one which
supports TabletPC's. This newsgroup is for the database software
Microsoft Access - not for general computer help!

You will need some program (NOT part of Office) that does voice
recognition. It's not an area in which I am knowledgable, but I do
recall the name "Dragon Naturally Speaking". To have Office take
verbal dictation you'll need to install this program (or one like it)
and integrate it with Office.

Actually I believe that at least some versions of Windows - Office does
have voice recognition built in - I seem to recall it is part of Windows and
it is an optional install. I could be wrong.

In any case John is right as usual and the answer to your question is
not here, but in another newsgroup. Based on my experience Voice
recognition would normally not be a good tool for Access.
