I can receive email but not send it. WHY?

I'm running WinXP SP2, Outlook 2002, ZoneAlarm Pro on a HP laptop. I have
wireless access to the internet through a Linksys router.

I have set up my email account with all of the correct information (POP and
SMTP server info). When I click "Test Account Settings" I get an error that
says:

"Establish network settings: Unable to connect to the Internet or to the
network. Please verify the connection settings. To access the connection
settings close this dialog, click More Settings, then clikc on the
Connections tab."

My internet connection works fine and I receive email fine, but I can't send
anything.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks for the links Hal. Unfortunately, none of them helped (the third link
that you sent is "no longer available"). I can't figure out why I can
receive but not send. You would think that if Outlook sees the internet
connection to receive the messages, it would also see the internet connection
to send.
