I can receive but not send messages.

When I send messages they get as far as outbox and stay there. Outlook keeps
trying to send them but without success. I can still receive messages though.
Any thoughts?

when it happens to me it usually is either I have an incorrect
outgoing mail server listed in the account properties or not having a
check mark in the "My outgoing server requires authentication" IF the
server actually requires it ......
