i can no longer send email

I can no longer send email but can receive. it worked a week ago. System
does not recognise that outlook office is installed . For an error all I get
is unspecified error in outlook word. Any ideas
 
What happens when you try to send email? Does it sit in your Outbox or go to
your Sent Items? What version of Outlook do you use?

What indicates to you that your computer specifically doesn't recognize
Office is installed if you can open Outlook and receive email?

Try running a detect and repair from the Help menu to start with but some
specific details would be really helpful.
