I can access the web but can't access my other computer's resources.

Hello,
I recently bought a new computer to upgrade the one I had.
there are two laptops in the home network both running xp
pro. On one I can access the web and the other's shared
files, but on the other one (the new one) I can access the
web but not the shared resources the settings are the same
on each computer file and printer sharing is enabled but
nothing seems to work I tried changing the workgroup name
on both computers but this doesn't help. It was the same
workgroup name with old laptop and I haven't got rid of it
yet as I haven't transferred all the data yet. What is
wrong and please what do I do now, I am so FRUSTRATED!!!!

Sounds like you have a firewall enabled. Have you checked?

Thanks but that was one of the first things I did on both

laptops. Anyother suggestions would be most helpful.
