Just as I stated, I would set my Bios to Boot to my CDrom and then I would
insert the WinXP Pro Cd and wait for it to boot to CD... While waiting I
noticed that a message would show up and say (Press any key to reboot) and
then I would press any key and it would reboot the machine and start all over
again rather than saying (Press any key to boot to CD-Rom).....It did not say
that... Why is this happening? Does any one know? Do I have to uninstall
WinXp SP2?

Can anyone help me? PLZ

To boot from a CD has nothing to do with the operating system and where it
is installed. When you select the boot order in the BIOS that is a hardware
decision and that device should be first in the boot order whether or not XP
is instlalled on a harddrive.

The fact you're not getting a message to boot from the CD tells me the CD
drive is not being detected so it can be put first in the boot order.

I have the drive order set to the CD-ROM 1st and it still is saying PRESS ANY
KEY TO REBOOT......why?
