I am unable to attach to the msn servers

I have not been able to attach to the msn servers for
about 5 days. I have not changed the outlook account
info but am now getting an error message saying either
the server is unavailable or that I have tcpip problems.
Message code is oX800ccc13. I am unable to ping the
servers (pop3.email.msn.com and smtp.email.msn.com)

Six days ago I was able to receive my mail just fine.

Can anyone help.
I am able to attach to my isp (comcast.net).

If you can't ping the servers and at least get an IP address in reply (the
replies themselves may be blocked), it's a networking issue.

If you *do* see an IP address returned, try to telnet -

telnet pop3.email.msn.com 110 <enter>
telnet smtp.email.msn.com 24 <enter>

in turn - do you get a 'banner' in reply?

I presume you will actually need to use Comcast's SMTP server for outbound
mail unless you can authenticate to the MSN SMTP server (dunno; don't use
it).

Same problem...interesting enough comcast is my ISP. It's my husbands machine
worked fine up til last week. He can both send and receive email through comcast
