Hi,

WinXP SP1a

I can access web and all shared folders in home LAN ( all XP SP1) and all
others can access sharde folders on other's PCs.

But none of them can access me.

Firewall is ZoneAlarm : LAN autorized as trusted IP Range AND each station's
IP as well since range didn't change anything. Unloading ZoneAlarm doesn't
change anything as well. And ZA doesn't report any blocked intrusion from
LAN.

Have shared folders, but nobody can access ( but they see it).

Have "simple file sharing" enabled.

Error message I get when trying to access any "shared folder" is ( freely
translated from french)
\\PC-Mine\\My-folder is not accessible. Perhaps you do not have the
permissions. Contact system admin."

And then "Insufficinet memory on server to execute that action" ( ???)

What should I do ? How proceed to identify what locks that access ?

TIA !!!

This error indicates that you are falling foul of the IRPStackSize bug.

The problem is on the machine you are attempting to connect to,
not the machine where you see the error message.

On the computer you are attempting to connect to,
Check the event viewer for an event ID 2011.

Usual fix :
You need to fix a parameter called IRPStackSize

On the computer you are attempting to connect to,
Set the IRPStackSize back to the default (15 ).
Perform the following steps:

1. Start the registry editor (e.g., regedit.exe).
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\
Services\lanmanserver\parameters.
3. Double-click IRPStackSize
(or if this registry setting doesn't exist, create it of
type DWORD and ensure the case is correct).
4. Change the base to decimal, set the value to 15, and click OK.
5. Reboot the computer.

Norton AV is usual suspect for breaking it.

There's a KB article about this, too.

Antivirus Software May Cause Event ID 2011 (Q177078)
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;177078

I indeed get many event 2011 ( many many !!!), have NAV and my IRPStackSize
was set at 11.
Have done as suggested by you.
Will reboot after sending current message. And ..... suspense ....

Will tell in a couple of minutes.

Thanks for answer already.
