I am looking for some vb.net programmers of any skill level

Hi, my name is Mark Linehan. About 20 years ago or so I started
learning how to program on the Commodore 64 computer (anyone remember
those?) heheheh. I taught myself basic on this little machine to the
point that there was nothing I could not do in basic on the 64 and
started learning assembly language on it. I moved up to the Amiga,
and dabbled in C. Then moved to an IBM 386. At that time I literally
knew plain old MS-DOS version(s) of Basic/Quick Basic/Power Basic
inside out, upside down and backwards. There was nothing I could not
do. I wrote a slew of BBS programs back in the good old days of modem
driven BBS'. I wrote some silly games. I wrote a couple of proprietary
business programs that made me some money. I loved it. I loved
programming back then.

Then windows came around. I cried. I hid. I babbled endlessly. Then I
gave up programming.

NOW, many years later I am taking another stab at basic in the windows
environment. I bought VB.NET (not even the whole studio because BASIC
is what I love. Can't explain why. I know the limitations etc. I just
like basic. Maybe because I'm DUMB! ROFL j/k)

ANYWAYS, here is where I am hoping this is not in bad etiquette. I am
not looking to compete with this website/forum(s) or any other for
that matter. I have put up a webpage to support myself and a handful
of others (I hope) who want to program in vb.net as a group. To learn
from each other. To teach other. To work together on various freeware
projects simply for the sake of learning, collaborating, socializing
and what not. So I am here, and on several other popular vb.net
resource pages looking for potential vb.net enthusiasts who want to
be a part of my programming group. I have a web page up (80%) most of
it will be handled through forums. It is NOT open to the public and
requires a login and password to access the site. I am not going to
have a gigantic number of people either. I just want a small group of
dedicated and productive people of all skill levels who want to work
with others. I need to learn, and so do others. You may be
experienced and just looking for others to work with. Either way, let
me know if you are intersted. Drop me an e-mail. The site is

PS. I apologize if it is bad etiquette to recruit for my group on this
website. Like I said I am not looking to setup any kind of competition
for a good resource site like this. What I am doing is completely
private.

Similar bkgnd and sentiment. I got 3 vb.net bugaboos here I'd like to
discuss. At least those old machines would do what they designed to do w/o a
hitch.
