I have a report in access 97 that I need to export to excel to be imported by
quick books 2004. I do not know the format that I need to have to send to
excel so that QuickBooks can import it correctly. My report looks like a
tabulated data with account number, check number, amount paid and name of the
person. That is all. Can some one help? I do not know where to go.
Thanks

I dont think I can do attachments here (but would like instructions if
I can do). Search the Net for a file called qbtransactions.pdf. Cant
remember where I found it but it shows the layout required in detail.
If there is a way to do attachments I can send it to you - 19k in size

Hi Steve,
thank you very much for sending me the files, however, I did not receive
them. I searched in my spam folder and in the trash folder just in case but
not found them. Could you try to send me jus blank email to see if the
attachment is the problem or not. angain, you could send it on gmail account
and put in the subject Quick Books.
thanks

If I understand your question correctly, all you have to do to send
report from Access to Excel is pull the report up in Access and then
go to "File" from the very top and "Export" and it will ask the
destination path or folder and then you select "excel or xls" as the
file type at the bottom and you should be done.

Good luck.

I whish it was that easy:) The problem is not how to export to excel! the
problem is what is the format that I need to have in excel in order for QB to
import correctly? I should convert the excel file to an IIF file so that QB
can import. However, to get the information in the right table in QB they
need to be formated in a certain way in excel and that is what I am trying to
find out.
thanks
