I am able to receive email but unable to send

I have been unable to send emails for the last two days. I have not changed
anything and my daughter who is using the same email system is able to send
from her laptop. When I try to send it will tell me that it has timed out
and when I click to wait for 60 seconds, this is the error message I receive:
Subject 'Re: Hiiiii', Account: 'pop-server.stny.rr.com', Server:
'smtp-server.stny.rr.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error
Number: 0x800CCC19

Like I said, I sent email fine on Friday and Saturday but could not send the
last two days and still receive just fine. Any help would be greatly
appreciated!

Have you talked with your ISP? That's where you should start, as there seems
to be a problem with your account it looks like. If nothing else, most
ISP(s) support Vista and WM, now.

That type of error is usually caused by interference from a non-
compatible antivirus program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

If turning off your antivirus email scanning function does not resolve
your problem, consider upgrading to Windows Live Mail, because it
is less prone to suffering bad effects from overly intrusive antivirus
programs: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

Email scanning in any antivirus must be disabled, for reasons
explained here:

0x800CCC19 TIMEOUT

It's a timeout error. The ISP can't help.
