What do you mean by "receive too many attachments"? Do you mean that all of
the messages you receive contain an attachment or that if someone sends you
one attachment yuo get two? If the latter, are they identical? What type
of account do you have?

Yes, I receive Excel files from a lot of people every month for
Consolidated Income Statement purposes and these files are
multiplied. For example, one region usually sends 6 files but I
received them about ten times in the same message. I have check and
they are really repetitive attachments. What can I do?

My first inclination is that they really are sending the attachment multiple
times. Make sure you're not scanning incoming messages with an antivirus
program and that they're not scanning outgoing messages.

You didn't answer my question about what type of account you're using.

We are currently using IMAP as Email account.

IMAP should be showing you just what's in the message store on the IMAP
server. Can you access that mailbox via a web interface? If so, see if the
extra attachments are in the message store that way. It will at least tell
you if it's truly an Outlook problem or not.

Thank you,

I did check the Web Mail (Web Interface) and there are no duplicate
attachments on the IMAP server. It's an Outlook problem as far as I
can see. What settings should I change in order to solve this
isuue?

If you have your antivirus program integrated with Outlook, disable the
integration. Some AV programs won't truly disable the integration unless
you uninstall them and reinstall without the option. If that doesn't help,
post again.
