Microsoft is not very user friendly. I resent also being forced to register
my program. I already paid; don't force your will on me.

Get over it...there are lots of things you buy that have to be registered to use legally.

With all due respect, it seems that you enjoy being pushed around. I think it should be an individual decision to register or not. I prefer not to do it. Just because Microsoft has a monopoly on the field doesn't mean that they should be forcing us to obey them like docile sheep.

You are not force to registry, just to activate the software, and software is licensed for use.

You own a car right? You have to license & register that too doncha?...even if you've paid in full you have to do that each and every year. Do you feel pushed around by that reality? Probably huh...get over it...it'll probably get worse.
