I accidentally hit no on the do you want to save window

I was minimizing a file and accidentally hit the quit button but instead of
hitting "cancel" I hit "no" and now my essay is gone. how can I ressurect it
if at all.

If you didn't save it, there is nothing to recover. You will have to retype
it.
