Hi
I have a presentation of 26 slides. On the first slide I have five small
pictures. On one of these pictures, I placed a hyperlink to another slide
within the presentation.

When running the presentation, I discovered that I can click on any of the
four pictures without hyperlinks, but still get taken to the first pictures
hyperlink - i.e all pictures seem to have the same hyperlink even thoiugh I
haved added it to only one picture

Anyone any idea what i have done wrong, or is this a 'featurette'?

Thanks
Alex

What happens if you're on the first slide and click *anywhere* on the screen
*except* the picture with the hyperlink? Does that also take you to the first
picture hyperlink?

I'm guessing that the click anywhere takes you to the next slide (standard PPT
behavior) and that slide happens to be the one that a click on the picture
*with* the link would take you to.

If that sounds right, from the main menu choose Slide Show, Set Up Show ...
Click "Browsed at a kiosk (full screen)
Click OK

That tells PPT to display the presentation full screen and only to respond to
clicks on buttons/links you've set up.

You'll then need to set up buttons or other links on your other slides to
return you to the first slide.

Is the hyperlink from the first picture going to the next slide? If you
click anywhere on a slide that is not a hyperlink, the standard behavior
is for it to go to the next slide. Also, if you move the mouse over the
pictures that shouldn't have hyperlinks (while in Slide Show view), do
you get the hand cursor (indicating a hyperlink is present) or the arrow
cursor (indicating no hyperlink is present). You should be able to right
click on a picture with an errant hyperlink and choose Remove Hyperlink.
Otherwise, the only ways you should get a hyperlink for an object is if
you put it there or if you grouped the pictures (select the pictures and
choose Group from the Draw menu) so that adding a hyperlink to one adds
it to the whole thing.
