Hyperlinks in frames

Does an entire site need to use frames/no frames, or can this be mixed?

If the answer is 'mixed', how can I create a hyperlink in a frame that will
go to a non-frames page (or another frames page), rather than loading that
page in the target frame? This works ok for links to other sites but not
for links to places in the same site.

If the answer above is 'entire site' then my question is tosh!

select the hyperlink and then "properties", then hit the target frame
button. If you want to open the link in addition to and ontop of your
frameset the target is "_blank". if you want to kill the frameset and have
your link open inplace of it the target should be set to "_top".
