Hyperlinks in 2003

My job just upgraded to Microsoft Office 2003. When I create hyperlink
in excel, they do not seem to work if it links to a pdf file. Linkin
to a word file works fine. When I click the hyperlink, it opens Adob
for a split second then closes. Any ideas of what I am doing wrong.
