Hyperlinked textboxes - keeping the "followed" color

Guest

Greetings everyone:
I am working on a PowerPoint presentation that is trying to emulate a
"Jeapordy" like game. In it there is the 'gameboard' where the category is
named, and there are boxes for $100, $200 etc. I am editing this file in Ppt
2003 and using Windows XP.
The problem: The money values are entered as textboxes, and the textbox (NOT
the text inside) is formatted as a hyperlink to the 'question' slide. The
hyperlink works fine, but when I return to the 'gameboard' the
textbox-formated-as-hyperlink has returned to its 'pre-visited' state/color.

What I want: I want the textbox-formated-as-hyperlink to change color (like
red) so when the moderator/game player returns to the gameboard they see that
category has been answered.

I've tried various animation schemes, but nothing has worked thus far. Any
help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (Is there a "Jeapordy"
game PowerPoint template on office.microsoft.com that I don't know about?)

With thanks,
Penny

Hi,

I tried this in the colour scheme and it worked OK. Try editing the "Accent
and followed hyperlink" colour to be the same as the ""Accent and hyperlink"
colour.

As for a template, Echo ahs some good examples:

If you are not linking from the text itself it wont change colour.

Try adding a custom animation > emphasis>change font color to the shape and
have it triggered by a click on the box. Might look even better with a change
fill colour?

Did that answer the question / help?

I have a free game you can download at the link below that is one round and
keeps score for either a two or three team setup . Please read the bold
text next to the image (bottom download for Jeopardy game) on my website to
make sure your macro security is set up before running the game. There is a
"readme.txt" file in the zipped download file that helps you get started.

ENJOY!
