i have inserted a hyperlink in my excel sheet
what should i do now in order to protect this link and prevent someone to
open it ???...password maybe ???....any suggestions???

THANK YOU

I don't think you can password protect a hyperlink. You should perhaps use
a button or some other control or shape. You can attach a macro to it that
asks for a password. Of course a determined person could get into your code
and discover the password or see what the code does.

You could unlock all cells except for that hyperlink cell then protect the
sheet with "select locked cells" disabled.

Add a password to unprotect.

Note: Excel's internal security is quite weak and passwords easily cracked.
