Hyperlink security warning

C

Chris

I have an absolute link to a file on my C Drive. I get two security warnings
when I clinik on the Link. The first is from Microsoft Office Warning --
"Some files can contain viruses..." followed by a second Microsoft Office
Word Warning --- "Hyperlinks can be harmful..." How do I turn these off? -
Thanks

Is there another way to disable this warning? I am getting it when I try to link to a file in this way from an MS Access applicaion I'm building. It will be run in a shared environment from a network and I can't go to every machine that might possibly use the application and change stuff in thier registry. For one thing we work in a standard desktop environment and I don't have permissions to do it. Even if I did there's a chance the network admins would either realize a change like that had been made and reset it or push an update at some point that would overwrite any changes I might make to some machine's registry. The solution Microsoft proposes is nothing but problematic. A warning like that should be allowed to be disabled by code in the Access application. Not to mention it's a lame and useless warning in the first place.
