hyperlink+protected form

fred

I'm using some hyperlinks with the option "Place in this
document". As soon as I protect the form, the hyperlinks
do not work anymore. I tried to solve the problem by using
the MacroButton function but it didn't help. Any ideas?
Thanks

fred

PS:I use Word2000 under XP

Hi, Fred,

You have to use section breaks before and after the hyperlink (which implies
that it must be on a line by itself), and use Tools > Protect Document > for
forms > Sections to unprotect the section that contains the hyperlink.
That's the only way Word will let you click the link while protection is
turned on.

Fred,

It is important to keep single threads rather than reposting messages. I
responded to your identical earlier message asking whether you followed the
instructions for using the macrobutton function workaround on the MVP FAQ
site. That solution does work. Is there something about it that is
inconvenient for you or that doesn't meet your goals?
