Hyperlink ; How to email reply with message and cc to another email address ?

NZed

I have a situation where I get many business enquiries from overseas,
however not all of them are appropriate to my own business in NZ.
I would like the person browsing to click on a hyperlink eg US distributor
and automatically send an email enquiry but also the sender recieves a
standard reply....eg Thankyou for your enquiry your enquiry has been
forwarded to the US distributor.

I would also like to recieve a copy CC so that I know how many enquiries
have been made.

I use FP 2002 and notice it doesnt have the CC feature or a place to leave a
standard message.

Looking forward to your sugestions.

Not possible when using the FP Form Handler. To accomplish this, you will
need to write a custom server-side solution using ASP, PHP, etc., based on
what is supported by your host.

Thankyou for your swift reply Thomas
Okay whats my next best option...?.
If I dont have ASP ?
Any suggestions for a simpler solution.....
I was thinking of a script that would have a pop up message instead.
Not necessarily in an email
Could this be done instead ?
Suggestions ?

Thanks

You could create two forms, one that would come to you and one that would go
to the US Distributor.

The Distributor form would actually be two forms chained together, so that
you would get a copy as well.

See:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;310789&Product=fp2002

Now in both cases, when use the FP Form Handler it is not possible to
directly send the user completing the form a acknowledgement. However if you
host offer a auto-responder service as part of your hosting account
configured to work with FP forms, then you could set that up to
automatically send standard default acknowledgement to the user or you could
just use the default FP confirmation page or create a custom confirmation
page.
