Hyperlink formatting

D

David Rose

I am trying to reformat hyperlinks and followed hyperlinks so that the font
isn't underlined and a different colour. When I try to reformat the style
for each of those, I get an Excel error that the formatting can't be changed
on a protected sheet, --- but the sheet isn't protected!

What am I missing?

TIA
David

I don't get that error. What version of Excel are you using?
What steps are you following to reformat the style?

I am using Excel 2000, Windows XP.

I am using the Format/Styles... menu item, selecting hyperlink from the
drop-down box and then clicking on the Modify... button. When I have made
the changes in the font dialog box, I select OK to close the various dialog
boxes and I get the error message mentioned in my original post.

Does this happen if you try to modify the style in a new workbook?
Can you create a new style, e.g. MY_HYPERLINK, and apply that?
