What can I do about this?

HTML-Text in MS Word contains:
<a href="http://www.microsoft.com/">MyLink</a>

After inserting the text with the above hyperlink in Windows Mail e-mail
the outbox of Windows Mail shows:
<A=20href=3D"">MyLink</A>

Why does http://www.microsoft.com disappear?

any ideas?

If you highlight something before inserting the hyperlink the link will be
attached to what you highlighted. Otherwise just type the the URL. The
purpose is to let you use just the word Microsoft as a link to some
Microsoft page.

For instance, clicking Microsoft will take you to their home page.
