Hyperlink and Return to Show

I have hyperlinked a picture in a slideshow to a hidden slide in the same
show. My problem is when I click the hidden slide after viewing it as a
hyperlink it takes me to the next slide which is also supposed to be a hidden
slide. I want it to take me back to the slide that follows the first
hyperlinked slide in the slide show.

This is, unfortunately, trickier than it should be. It is not difficult to
get the slide to return to the same slide that linked to it, but not easy
to get to the next slide. Your best bet is to put the hidden slide in a
custom show, and link to the custom show, checking the box for show and
return. An alternative is to have a button with an Action Setting linking
to Last Slide Viewed. Another alternative is to have a button linking to a
specific slide (which could be the slide after the originating slide).

OK, I think I could take linking it back to the same slide. It was linked
from. How Do I do that??

Your best bet is to create a custom show. Only put the hidden slide in
it. Then, when you set up the hyperlink, don't hyperlink to the slide,
hyperlink to the show, and as you set the hyperlink to the custom show,
check the box for Show and Return.

Alternatively, you could put a 99% transparent box over the entire slide
and set the Action Settings for that box to be to Hyperlink to Last Slide
Viewed. The disadvantage is that that will only work for mouse clicks,
not if someone uses the space bar or arrow keys, etc.
