Does windows 2000 pro support hyperthreading p4 chips?
And does it take full advantage of them?

Yes. And no. Win2K cannot distinguish between physical and
logical CPUs, and is limited to a maximum of two CPUs. So if
you have a single hyperthreaded P4 it will see it as two physical
processors, and will use both. But if you have dual hyperthreaded
P4's it will not see nor use the other two. WinXP does not have
this limitation and can distinguish between physical and logical
processors.
