Can anyone confirm that if an inf package is not
signed/trusted then the "New Hardware Found" Wizard will
always pop up, even if the inf file is matched to the
device.

Is there any way for an unsigned package to install
without the "New Hardware Found" Wizard popping up. Can
it be suppressed?

No. Only signing the driver will stop it.

hi all,
I am very much new to this driver installation domain.
I am also facing the similar problem of "New Hardware
Found" for USB.Using the Setup API's like setupOEMINF, am
copying the our applications .inf file to the inf folder
and .sys file to Windows\system32\drivers folder.For
Windows 2K and Windows ME no Hardware Wizard get popped
when USB cable is plugged in.Only for Windows XP the
Hardware Wizard gets popped up.Anyway the driver is not
signed and but it is matching to our device.
Plz lemme know by any means we can suppress the Hardware
Wizard or signing up the driver the only solution left?
