Huge Problems Please Help

Someone restarted my computer today and when it loaded up
to the log on screen of microsoft xp pro, I moved the
mouse to click on my icon and it restarted every time I
moved the mouse? It did that about ten times now when I
load it lets me move the mouse but when I type its ascii
trash? Like Boxes and when I hit enter with my password
it asks me I believe if I want to fix the registry but I
cant because I cant read the screen the fonts are all
screwed up and it ends up crashing? Safe Mode isnt
functional? This computer is a Gateway. Please please
help college student missing deadlines.

your best course is to do a repair install of xp.
you will need the xp cd.
