Hi there,
My IE does NOT react at all upon clicking at any such indicated
secure URL link in an email...but no problem for a standard http!
However, if I paste such link and copy it onto an already open
IE session, no problem to gain access to such secure https site!
(And of course: SSL 2.0 & 3.0, as well as TLS 1.0 are enabled;
anyway: via pasting/copying I can gain access to such page!
So any tips would be highly appreciated; thank you in advance.

This is from another post ( Isaved it )

Problems with links in e-mail messages are not uncommon. Here are a couple
of solutions that have worked for some folks:
• Open IE and click Tools / Internet Options / Programs / .
• Check to ensure that there is a checkmark in the box labeled "IE should
check to make sure it is the default browser".
• Click Apply and then OK.
• Close IE.
• Reopen IE. When you are asked if you want to make it your default browser,
click "Yes."
If that doesn't work, do this:
• Close IE.
• Click Start / Run.
• In the Run box, type: regsvr32 urlmon.dll (Be sure to leave a space)
• Click OK.
• Open IE.
• Click Tools / Internet Options / Programs.
• Click "Reset Web Settings."

Thanks very much Frank fo all your recommendations which
I'll certainly test now and then report the results back here.
However, your first advice re "port 443" cannot be, since I'm
perfectly able to gain access to such secure site by "manually"
inserting its path onto my IE (as already mentionned); okay!
