http1.1 service unavailable

I recieve the message "http1.1 service unavailable" for
just one web site= amazon.com.
I have talked to amazon and my ISP with no success. Each
points to the other.
I have tried accessing the site off hours. I have accessed
this site in the past with the same software and hardware
without a problem until about 5 months ago.
Happens with IE 6 and NEtscape.
Any help? ...thanks

Is use http1.1 checked in internet options>advanced tab?
