Http (gmail account) account for Microsoft Outlook 2002

I'm getting an error message 0x800CCC31 saying that the server does not
understand the request. For the url, I input http://mail.google.com. I also
tried http://www.gmail.com. Also, I have this linked to my school account.
Can anyone help me out?

So what type of e-mail account do you have defined in Outlook? HTTP, IMAP,
POP3, Exchange? Gmail requires a POP3 connect, and you need to use SSL, and
you have to authenticate to both their POP3 and SMTP servers. They have a
help page telling you how to define an e-mail account.
