http error 404 forbidden

Hello,

Please can anyone help, I am constantly receiving the
error 404 message when browsing, either I do not have
permission to access the site, it's forbidden or the file
is not found. I have contacted Microsoft technical
support who guided me through reconfiguring my browser
settings, this took almost three hours and its still not
cured! Does any onyone know of a quick fix also most
sites don't have their pictures displayed don't know if
this is connected with the problem - going insane.

What have they suggested you do?
Did you try?

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.
