I HAVE VISIED A WEB SITE AND TRIED TO USE A TAB TO ANOTHER LINK IN THE SITE
AND RECEIVE THE ERROR MESSAGE HTTP 404 THIS PAGE IS UNAVAILABLE. I HAVE
BEEN ABLE TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE PAGE FROM A URL SENT IN AN E-MAIL BUT CANNOT
GET TO IT FROM THE SITE ITSELF.

Hi Gordon.

Firstly, do you think your keyboard has a Caps Lock key?
Upper case is generally interpreted as shouting on Usenet.

Secondly, this group is about Microsoft Access (the database).

In any case, a 404 error means that the site is unavailable.
This can happen for several reasons, e.g.:
1) The server is broken (as is the case with my own site right now).

2) The site is shut down - happens over time.

3) The link was mis-spelled.

Given that you were able to click on another link to reach the site, #3
would be a good bet.
