HTTP 400 Bad Request......With a Twist

Just about all the posts that deal with the error, "HTTP 400 Bad
Request," state that there are particular URLs that can't be accessed.
Mine is a slightly different problem.

I get the error randomly as I surf. It doesn't occur with any
particular URLs. I'll get the error, hit the back button, click the
link again, and the page pops up without any problem. And this, that
I am about to tell you, is weird: At times I've even gotten the
error, hit the back button, and there is the URL that I wanted without
hitting the link again!

It didn't use to do this, but something in the past few months has
caused it to go flaky.

Thanks for the help.

Have you deleted all your temporary internet files -
check the file settings and move down to just 10 MB of
file space if you're using high speed and to update on
every visit instead of automatically

Todd, thanks for the response.

Temporary Internet files as well as cookies are deleted on a regular
basis. Scan Disk (or whatever it's called in XP) and Defrag is done
often. I run McAfee Security (Anti-virus, Firewall and Ad Blocker).
For the past few months the browser has been set to update on every
visit. I use dial-up and the file size is set to 5000 MB. Could that
be a factor? I welcome any other ideas?

Thanks!!!
