html editor

I got a response from Ross, and I am sure he knows what he is talking about,
but misled him by my ignorance.

When I go to tools on internet options, to to programs, and it shows the
html editor, it is blank. If I drop down, the only option I have is word
pad. I somehow did something at one time, and I can't open certain programs.
They open in word pad. It won't allow me to type in anything. What should
I be using, and how do I put it in.

it goes by what you have installed, if not word, then some other word
processor ie HTML editor, do you have the complete office installed??? ie
word and or front page?

i'd guess that something set itself a default editor, but then you uninstalled that app, leaving a blank in the pulldown.
