I am not sure where to ask this--it's not exactly a Word question I know I
can create documents in Word and save them in html and open them again later
in Word. If I want to see them in html as opposed to Word I open
Netscape--no problem. (Yeah, yeah, I am probably one of the last 10 people
in the world using Netscape, but I do use Internet Explorer when required)
But is there a way to open those documents in html on a computer that lacks
Netscape? Of course I could download the program, but I am reluctant to
download a big software program on somebody else's computer! Can somebody
point me in the right direction? Thanks!

The hypothetical computer doesn't have Internet Explorer? That would assume
a very ancient OS?

Well, actually, it would assume an idiot like me at the keyboard! I left
out an important little part: Not only do I want to open html documents,
which I can certainly do in Windows Explorer, but edit/modify them. That's
the part I can't figure out. You can do it in Word, but it seems a little
quirky, whereas it is pretty straightforward in Netscape (using Netscape
Composer). I obviously missed some important lesson a long time ago!

You can edit HTML in Notepad.
