Hi,
I have created some email templates in html format and saved them as
..oft files. I use them often.
I have noticed that many times, when the recipient replies with the
"quoting" of the original email I sent him, my email arrived at his end
with lines that are double spaced. It looks just really bad and I am
trying to find out what I cd be doing wrong.
I do check the return carriages and paragraph marks, etc. but.....
Anyone can help?
Tx.

what email application do they use? some applications, including web mail,
will change the line breaks to paragraph breaks.

Diane,
I appreciate ur replying to my post.
I really DON'T know....
It could be what you are saying about webmail....
Anything can be done on my side to fix it so webmail doesn't do that or
nothing doing?

you could use shift-enter instead of enter, but then there isn't a clear
line break in other clients.... or use plain text if its a problem.

I know about shift enter but defeats the purpose in regular email
clients which I believe is the majority of recipients.

enter adds a <p> tag - so two enters (as most of us do in email to add white
space) = <p><p> or double space in HTML. two shift+enters = <br><br> which
adds the white space and is single space in HTML. The other option is using
plain text or just not worrying about it. There are too many other things
that have a real effect on my quality of life, so I choose not worry about
odd formatting in the mail I send and aren't bothered by odd formatting in
mail I receive.
