When the HP 990c prints 2-sided, I always get "unbalanced" duplexing - hold
the printed page up to the light and notice that the top margin on the front
of the page never lines up with the top margin on the back of the page.

This is especially noticeable in booklet printing. Folding exactly in half
produces weird "jogging" effect as the image isn't printed in the mirror
position when duplexing.

I've used both HP and MS drivers to duplex but neither works right. Any
ideas?

I have exactly the same problem. Contacted HP customer support but all I was
told to do
was check the margin settings(??????????????????) As usual HP support next
to useless unless
you happen to be a big corporate user.

Unfortunately, I still haven't resolved the problem either.

The hardware margins for the 990 are something like 0.08" top and 0.46" at the
bottom. In duplex mode the back side is actually printed upside down, so the
"top" margin becomes the 0.46" minimum. You may be able to set the top and
bottom margins to 0.5" for better results.
