HP1320 Printer Queue Issues

Hello group!

I have a problem with our newly purchase HP 1320 (Network ready) printer for
our Material Control Department (MCD). Printing is over a TCP/IP network
with clients ranging from Windows 98 SE to Windows XP.

Some users in MCD prints just fine but for some after they print the print
jobs _is not cleared_ and the status of the job shows 'printed'.

Another weird thing is that there is 2 Windows XP (SP2) machine which we
brought in simultaneously. One is showing the above problem, while the other
does not.

However, despite the jobs not being cleared, printing still continues just
fine, except that the next morning when they ON the PC, the jobs are still
in the print queue and Windows will automatically re-prints the jobs all
over again.

Waste of ink and our temporary solution is to ask them to manually clear the
print jobs after printing or prior to shutting down of their PC.

Does anyone have a clue of what's going on? Client Printer Driver issues?

Thanks for any insight.

I think this might be the solution I'm looking for and the reason I post the
solution is for other people. HTH
