HP printer software

I cannot install my HP deskjet 920c software for Windows
XP using "Add program". I get as far as Have disk and it
finds SETUP.EXE on the disk but then reverts back when I
press NEXT and never gets past this point.

Have you tried not using "add program" Just find setup.exe on your disk
using windows explorer and double click on it.

The software for the printer is too old for XP. You can only use the
standard printer drivers include witn XP.

You might try downloading the WinXP printer software from the HP website at:

Before attempting to install the software, follow the steps listed at the
following site for the possibility that you have a problem caused by the
Print Spooler not being started:
