Hi all ! My sister's HP Athlon XP 3000 came with 448 MB Ram. That means 3
sticks of 256, 128 and 64 MB Ram. Isnt that odd?? Does anyone else have this
setup?
Why not put 2 sticks of 256 MB instead ? IMHO it should have been 2 sticks
of 512 MB for the size of the CPU in that system.Your comments please !

Not quite. It means 512 meg of ram, and 64 meg of that allocated to the
integrated graphics. The 512 meg of ram is probably in two 256 meg sticks,
but it might be in one 512 meg stick(although I doubt it).

Typically they'd use a single DIMM, at least this has been
the case in the past.

Thanks for your comments. I never thought of the shared memory. I hope it
has an AGP slot ;)
