HP Pavilion - W32.Blaster Worm

Sorry to ask again....I am using the HP Pavilion and I am unable to instal
the patch from microsoft, the only thing i can do was to use the Symantec
tools and the firewall... seems this is only a temporary method...Could
someone tell me how I can fix it? Thanks!
